Hello and welcome!

What does one say in their very first blog post?  Especially one who never thought she'd have a blog!  Well, here I am making my debut in blogland, because I could think of no better way to keep everyone updated on my adventures far from home.  I don't expect to or want to have lots of followers or any advertisers, or even billions of comments on every post.  I don't have anything hilarious or insightful to say, anything beautiful to craft out of things purchased only at the dollar store, or any amazing recipes, tutorials, or product reviews to share.
